The beat is best described by dividing it into thirds – the top third being upstream of the hut to the march with Delvine & Burnbane (marked by a fence coming down to the river's edge); the middle third being Baldarroch Pool (from the hut down to the false croy off the left bank and fallen trees on the right); and the lower third extending down to the march with Kercock.
Membership of the PDAA offers some of the best-value salmon and trout fishing in the country. Beats for 2019 include Rome Croy, Fishponds, Benchil, Pitlochrie, Dalguise, Upper Farleyer and Findynate on the River Tay, Stirling Council fishings on the Forth and Teith, and BRDAA water on the River Ericht.
There are few clubs that can equal the level of angling provision that we offer (approximately 6000 rod days per season) for an an annual fee of just £200 (plus £5 joining fee). Senior citizens who have been a member for at least one year qualify for a discounted rate (£160), youth members (aged 17 to 21) pay £40, and junior members (16 and under) are free! (NB These are 2019 rates. Membership fees are reviewed annually.)
The association is actively seeking to recruit new members – for more details see About PDAA, or apply online using our Membership Application Form.
